The new promotional art for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday reveals Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom in full, offering the clearest look at the character yet.
In the image below, Downey Jr. appears as Doctor Doom at the center, wearing a full metallic silver armored suit, a green hooded cloak, an intricate chest plate, and a stern metallic mask. Beast, Cyclops, Reed Richards, the Thing, Yelena, and Captain America are also featured in the promotional artwork.
UK retailer Menkind has listed the Marvel Avengers: Doomsday 12 Days Socks Advent Calendar for pre-order at £30.00 ($39.70). The item is expected to be released on September 9, 2026, and includes 12 pairs of Marvel-themed socks inspired by Avengers: Doomsday.

We recently reported, citing an insider, that Downey Jr. will be suited up as Doctor Doom for 95% of his scenes in Avengers: Doomsday. Doctor Doom is described as the Doom we all know and love: manipulative, calculating, smart, and pragmatic. Also, Doom’s face will reportedly not be revealed until the third act of Avengers: Doomsday.
“Doctor Doom will reportedly have a large collection of trinkets and artifacts he has gathered throughout his adventures, including the Word of God. That’s reportedly why he is so powerful, even without Loki’s abilities to make him a god. He will have witches and individuals that can perform magic by his side.”
The first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released this month at San Diego Comic-Con. Marvel Studios’ Hall H presentation will take place on Saturday, July 25. The event is already being promoted outside the convention center where SDCC will be held. See it below.
Recently, scooper MyTimeToShineHello claimed that Benedict Cumberbatch will reportedly play Doctor Doom’s sidekick, Boris, in Avengers: Doomsday. He is said to wield a Sling Ring and be portrayed as a wizard alongside Doctor Doom. However, “Boris” may have been a codename used during production.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
