Right now, there are eight cast members revealed for Marvel’s X-Men reboot, including Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Scott Summers / Cyclops, Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier / Professor X, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm, Asa Germann as Angel, and Adam Driver as Nathaniel Milbury / Mr. Sinister. Two more X-Men, Beast and Iceman, are expected to be revealed soon.
As we have heard, Beast and Iceman will reportedly appear in the X-Men movie, and casting for both roles is currently underway.
According to insider James Mack, Beast will reportedly not undergo the mutation that transforms his skin into blue fur in Marvel Studios’ X-Men reboot. Instead, he will have a more beast-like appearance while retaining a human look, with huge hands and feet.
Charles Melton is in talks for the role of Beast. Melton opened up about the rumors that he has been cast as Beast in the X-Men film.
He said, “It depends on what day or moment you catch me on, but right now I’d say I think I believe in Jake [Schreier] and [Lee Sung Jin] so much, and I would love to work with them again.”
According to insider DanielRPK, Marvel Studios is reportedly casting three roles for the X-Men reboot:
- An Asian woman for a supporting role.
- A Native American man for a supporting role.
- A woman with a small role in the first film who will have a bigger role in the sequel.
The new X-Men reboot will reportedly follow a younger team that grows over time, with a coming-of-age focus. The original five X-Men will be the main group, likely joined by a few additional members, while Wolverine will not be part of the team.
In a recent interview, director Jake Schreier confirmed that Sadie Sink’s Jean Grey will be the main character in Marvel’s X-Men reboot. The film will follow Jean’s story as she becomes part of the X-Men. Schreier described Jean as a “founding member of the X-Men.”
Speaking to Good Morning America, Schreier says the X-Men movie will feature many elements that have never been explored on the big screen.
He has also been looking at different X-Men comic book storylines for inspiration, specifically mentioning Chris Claremont’s iconic run and Jonathan Hickman’s newer stories.
He said, “Digging back into those comics like the Chris Claremont run and the newer Jonathan Hickman stuff. There are so many stories that are still untold.”

The X-Men movie will hit theaters on May 5, 2028.
