Ben Affleck’s Daredevil Return in the Multiverse Storyline
Ben Affleck was spotted on the set of ‘Deadpool 3,’ raising speculation about his involvement in the multiverse storyline film. Previous rumors strongly suggest that he might reprise his role as Daredevil.
While Affleck did play the character of Daredevil in a film adaptation, it was not part of the MCU. The film titled “Daredevil” was released in 2003 and was produced by 20th Century Fox. In the film, he plays the role of Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who becomes the vigilante superhero Daredevil.
‘Deadpool 3’ is reported to have a multiverse storyline, bringing back X-Men characters like Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, and Beast. There’s no confirmation yet on how Ben Affleck’s Daredevil is connected to the film or if he’ll play another Marvel character. The filming is underway at Pinewood Studios in London, and the next schedule is planned in Vancouver, Canada. Recently, the release date of ‘Deadpool 3’ has been shifted from November 8, 2024, to May 3, 2024. However, the filming of other Marvel projects such as Blade and Thunderbolts has been paused due to the writers’ strikes.
The film is directed by Shawn Levy. In the film, Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, alongside Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, Stefan Kapičić as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, Rob Delaney as Peter, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and new additions Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen. The script is penned by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, Reynolds, and Levy. In the latest episode of The Cosmic Circle, host Brian Kitson and writer Alex Perez shared that the Scarlet Witch will be mentioned in ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos’ and ‘Deadpool 3’.
