The Russo Brothers are open to making games based on Marvel‘s Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
The Russo Brothers, who are directing Netflix’s The Electric State, are also developing a prequel to the film, the mobile game The Electric State: Kid Cosmo. They are partnering with Netflix under their company, AGBO. Additionally, the Russo Brothers are among the executive producers of the upcoming Avengers movie.
In an interview with Variety, the Russo Brothers said they “would definitely be open” to developing games based on Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

Joe Russo said, “We would definitely be open to it.” He added, “Right now, we’re focused on creating new IP. At AGBO, we want to tell new stories—with new characters and new worlds that people haven’t seen before. So, Anthony, Donald, and I are working together to build new worlds. We currently have three in development, each designed to have the scale and depth of a Star Wars universe but in a different genre. Our goal is to expand these worlds by telling stories in different ways using various forms of media.”
During the premiere of Netflix’s The Electric State, the Russo Brothers confirmed that Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars will be filmed back-to-back in London, with Doomsday set to begin filming in April 2025.
In Avengers: Doomsday, Robert Downey Jr. will play the role of Doctor Doom, Chris Evans as an Nomad, Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Wyatt Russell as US Agent, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Wonder Man, Dafne Keen as Laura Kinney/X-23 and Kelsey Grammer as Hank McCoy/Beast, and Channing Tatum as Gambit.
Doomsday is a multiverse film because it serves as the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga. The plot follows Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, who isn’t truly evil; he believes he is trying to save the multiverse from incursions. In his twisted logic, the only way for the multiverse to survive is to unify all universes in one place—Battleworld—under his rule. He sees this as the sole path to ensuring survival for everyone.
Produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Russo Brothers will produce through their AGBO banner.
Avengers: Doomsday will hit theaters on May 1, 2026.
