The Russo Brothers are not stopping their cryptic teases for Avengers: Doomsday. The directors recently shared a new photo featuring Doctor Doom’s Latveria flag, seemingly teasing Avengers: Doomsday at SXSW London.
On Instagram, the Russo Brothers shared a new Avengers: Doomsday tease featuring Doctor Doom’s iconic comic-book logo. The image includes the words “SXSW LONDON.”
The tease arrives just days before Joe and Anthony Russo’s scheduled appearances at SXSW London.
The filmmakers are set to participate in the Deadline Live Studio: CLOSE UP – AGBO panel. They will also appear at the Building Artistic Universes Without Borders panel later the same day. Both panels will take place on June 2 at SXSW London. A special screening of Avengers: Infinity War is also scheduled for later that evening.
Fans are still waiting for Marvel’s official reveal of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, while the movie’s plot remains a mystery beyond unconfirmed reports.
In a recent interview with AGBO, Joe Russo and Anthony Russo described Avengers: Doomsday as a “complete reinvention” for the MCU. The movie’s tone, story, and subject matter are expected to feel very different from previous Avengers films.
Joe Russo and Anthony Russo said, “Doomsday is a complete reinvention. It’s another swing. I don’t think the audience is expecting it at all — what happens in the movie, its tone, and its subject matter. It feels like another profound shift for them in that serialized story.”
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
