The fifth installment of the Shrek franchise, ‘Shrek 5,’ is currently scheduled for a 2025 theatrical release.
An NBCUniversal employee, Shreya S., briefly had the film listed for a 2025 release on her LinkedIn profile but later edited the description. The film is produced by DreamWorks Animation and will be distributed by Universal Pictures.
Directed by Chris Meledandri from a screenplay by Michael McCullers. It is a sequel to Shrek Forever After (2010) and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022).
