Ti West‘s ‘MaXXXine‘ starring Mia Goth is a “whodunit slasher” film set in 1985, and it’s generating a lot of excitement among fans, as reported by Scream Magazine.
Recently, A24 released the first look at ‘MaXXXine’ featuring Goth’s Maxine and Halsey. In the film, Maxine relocates to Los Angeles in the early 1980s with aspirations of achieving fame as an actress.
In an interview with Variety, Goth said that the script for MaXXXine is the best one yet in the X trilogy, and she believes it will be the best movie of the three. She also expressed excitement about reuniting with the cast and crew for the third time and the shorthand they have developed with each other. According to Goth, the new film will have the highest stakes and the biggest story of the trilogy, with Maxine’s character having gone through a lot and now being a force to be reckoned with in a new world, where she will go through some wild adventures.
She said, “It’s the best script of the three by far. It’s going to be the best movie of the three. We’re all so tight now. This is going to be our third movie we’re working on together, and everyone’s coming back together, so it’s bringing the band all back together again. We just have a shorthand with each other. We know how everybody works, and we’re all so excited. It’s the biggest story of the three with the highest stakes, and Maxine has gone through so much at this point. So when we find her in this new world, she’s just a force to be reckoned with, and she goes through some pretty wild adventures.”
Directed by Ti West. The film will be the third and final installment in the X trilogy, following X and Pearl. The film also stars Elizabeth Debicki as a film director, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan as an LAPD detective, Bobby Cannavale as an LAPD detective, Lily Collins, Giancarlo Esposito as an agent for the adult film industry, and Kevin Bacon as a private investigator.
