Black Panther: Wakanda Forever producer Nate Moore hinted that future projects at Marvel would be filled with Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Val). Moore says that Val will be the next Nick Fury. “We’re slowly building the story of a woman who maybe has her finger in more pies than you think, and we’ll just see if that’s a good thing or a bad thing for the MCU.”
Valentina Allegra de Fontaine Will Form 5 Different Villains Groups In Captain America: New World Order
According to John Rocha (The Hot Mic), Valentina Allegra de Fontaine will reportedly be working with 5 different villains in ‘Captain America: New World Order’ to form the Serpent Society. Their main mission will be to obtain Adamantium from Tiamut Island.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus plays the role of Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Val made her first appearance in the MCU in the Disney+ series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, where she recruited John Walker as a U.S. agent and told him about recruiting a team. She then appeared in the post-credits of Black Widow and told Yelena Belova to kill Clint Barton (Hawkeye). Most recently, she had a more extensive screen presence in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Valentina becomes the new Director of the CIA in the upcoming Marvel’s Thunderbolts and forms a superhero team similar to how Nick Fury assembled the Avengers.
In an interview with Screen Rant, Moore talk about Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. He told that Valentina’s connection with Martin Freeman’s Everett Ross is Ryan Coogler’s idea and he revealed Val will be replacing Nick Fury in the upcoming MCU phase.
“Last time you will see Valentina. I think now, clearly, she and Ross might find themselves at different tables at the same restaurant. The detail about their past relationship was something Ryan thought would be really fun and interesting to explore.” Moore said, “Hopefully, we’ll get to build on that. But with Valentina, much like Nick Fury in Phase One, we’re slowly building the story of a woman who maybe has her finger in more pies than you think. And we’ll just see if that’s a good thing or a bad thing for the MCU.”
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is now available on Disney+.
