Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday will feature a scene exploring Robert Downey Jr.’s Victor von Doom’s past and what really happened to his family.
According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, in Avengers: Doomsday, Victor von Doom’s wife and son were killed in an accident, and Victor himself was severely injured, leaving his body damaged.
Doom traced the cause of the accident to Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) traveling back in time, and now he is after him to avenge his family. He holds Steve responsible for their deaths, but the true cause of the tragedy may be far more complicated.
We have reported that Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter’s son is reportedly named James Rogers in Avengers: Doomsday. Peggy and Steve Rogers live in (Earth-828). There is a scene that was filmed in a baseball stadium where Steve and his son are present.
There are rumors that after the events of Avengers: Endgame, but before the end of Loki Season 2, Loki finds Steve living peacefully with Peggy and their son. However, he warns Steve that the TVA will erase their timeline because he isn’t meant to be there.
Loki then secretly moves Steve and his family to the Fantastic Four’s universe (Earth-828) so they can live safely.
Speaking to Empire Magazine, Anthony Russo revealed Steve Rogers’ importance to Doomsday, saying they “can’t see this narrative without his central role.”
He said, “We have a special affinity with the character.” He added, “We can’t see this narrative without his central role in it, basically. The special place he holds among the ensemble—he sort of retains that moving forward.”
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
