Victoria Justice (The Tutor), Devon Ross (Irma Vep), Taylor John Smith (Where the Crawdads Sing), and Dermot Mulroney (Scream VI) have joined the cast of ‘Sic.’ The filming is currently underway in Thailand with the stars. The film follows a group of roommates who accidentally kill an innocent man, leading them down a dangerous path of deception and cover-up.
‘Sic’ is written and directed by Paul Tamasy, who is best known for penning the script for The Fighter and The Finest Hours (2016). In a statement, Tamasy said, “I’m excited to be directing my first film, and shooting at Baang Studios has been an incredible experience.” Tamasy added, “We’ve assembled a great cast and crew, and I can’t wait for audiences to see the final product.”
Tamasy is reuniting with his producing partner Dorothy Aufiero, with whom he previously collaborated on The Fighter, Patriots Day, and The Finest Hours. Wych Kaos, Scott Clayton, Jordan Gertner, and Gary Hirsh are also producing, with Adam Zachary Smith serving as executive producer.
Victoria Justice is best known for her roles in the Nickelodeon series “Zoey 101” and “Victorious,” as well as the films “The Boy Who Cried Werewolf” and “Fun Size.”
Devon Ross is best known for the Irma Vep series, and she played Regina, a cinephile, in the series. ‘Sic’ will be her first-ever movie after Irma Vep.
Taylor John Smith is best known for his roles in the television series “Cruel Summer” and “Sharp Objects,” as well as the films “Wolves” and “Hunter Killer.” Smith recently starred in the mystery thriller film “Where the Crawdads Sing.”
Dermot Mulroney is best known for his roles in the films “Young Guns,” “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” and “The Wedding Date,” as well as the television series “New Girl” and “American Horror Story.”
The filming is happening at Baang Rig Studios in Thailand, with the Southeast Asian country standing in for the U.S., and the release date is TBA.
