The second season of ‘Wednesday‘ is currently in pre-production, developing the script, and is set to begin filming in Ireland in late April 2024.
New Characters Revealed for ‘Wednesday’ Season 2
Casting for ‘Wednesday’ Season 2 is underway, with some characters already revealed, including Karloff, Wolfgang, and Annie, as reported by What’s on Netflix.
- Karloff is portrayed as a young, athletic male teenager, with the actor required to wear prosthetics.
- Wolfgang is characterized as a charming and confident male teenager.
- Annie is a young girl described as whip-smart and wise beyond her years.
The coming-of-age horror comedy’s first season was shot in Romania from September 2021 to March 2022. It premiered on Netflix in November 2022 and was renewed for a second season in January 2023. In Season 2, Jenna Ortega will return as Wednesday Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzman as Gomez Addams, Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, and Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay.

Recently, Ortega has exited the Scream franchise’s new film, ‘Scream VII,’ for the ‘Wednesday’ Season 2 schedule.
In ‘Wednesday’ Season 2, creators Al Gough and Miles Millar, along with executive producer/director Tim Burton, plan to explore new themes. Expectations include the introduction of more Addams family members, a deeper look into Wednesday’s relationship with her mother, and a shift towards emphasizing horror over teen romance, as hinted by Ortega. “It’s been incredible to create a show that’s connected with people across the world,” Millar and Gough said in January. “We’re thrilled to continue Wednesday’s torturous journey into Season 2.”
‘Wednesday’ Season 2 will premiere on Netflix in 2025.
