Here’s the official plot synopsis for Eden:

At a time of upheaval between two world wars, a group of very different people set out for the remote and previously uninhabited Galápagos island of Floreana in search of a new life beyond the conventions of civilization. The first to arrive are German doctor and philosopher Dr. Friedrich Ritter (Law) and his lover Dore Strauch (Kirby). Ritter is working on a philosophical manifesto and hopes to cure Dore of her multiple sclerosis.
