BBC has exclusively revealed the first look at Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson as The Doctor and Ruby in the new ‘Doctor Who‘ series. In the images, Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson are dressed in 1960s-style clothing and posing in front of a brick wall. See the image below.
As per Deadline, Doctor Who will celebrate its 60th anniversary in November 2023 with three special episodes starring David Tennant as the 14th Doctor. Catherine Tate will also make an appearance. Gatwa’s first episode as the Fifteenth Doctor will premiere during the holiday season, with other new cast members including Heartstopper’s Yasmin Finney and Neil Patrick Harris. Both characters are being kept hidden.
Filming for Ncuti Gatwa’s debut season as the Doctor is already underway – the 14th season of the revived series and the first for showrunner Russell T. Davies since leaving the program in 2010.
Doctor Who will be available on Disney Plus in 2024, with Davies promising that the new episodes will be on a “bigger scale.”
