Warning: This post contains spoilers for James Gunn’s Man of Tomorrow.
David Corenswet‘s Superman and Nicholas Hoult‘s Lex Luthor is filming a major fight scene for DC Studios’ Man of Tomorrow in Atlanta, Georgia.

The images show Corenswet suited up as Superman in his full costume, featuring the iconic blue suit, red-and-yellow S-shield, red cape, and boots. The suit appears battle-damaged, with a large scorched mark across the chest emblem.

Hoult is seen in character as the bald Lex Luthor, wearing a massive green-and-purple armored suit. The futuristic design features a large visor and what appears to be heavy weaponry, hinting at a powered-up version of the iconic villain.

Following the fight sequence shoot, Corenswet will now return to set as Clark Kent instead of Superman as filming continues.
Corenswet’s Superman suit seen on the Man of Tomorrow set is described as the same version, with only minor tweaks. The cape is “definitely longer,” for instance.
In Man of Tomorrow, Superman and Lex Luthor are set to team up as they face a new villain: Brainiac (Lars Eidinger).
Gunn is writing, directing, and producing the film, with Peter Safran serving as a producer for DC Studios. The movie is a sequel to Superman, follows Peacemaker Season 2, and will be the fourth DC Universe film in Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.
The cast of Man of Tomorrow includes David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent (Kal-El), Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern (Guy Gardner), Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, Lars Eidinger as Brainiac, Aaron Pierre as Green Lantern (John Stewart), and Adria Arjona in a rumored role as either Maxima or Wonder Woman.
Man of Tomorrow will arrive in theaters on July 9, 2027.
