Warning: This article contains spoilers for the VisionQuest series.
Marvel Television’s VisionQuest series will have a special presentation today at the Disney D23 event, with a first-look teaser trailer expected.
At the VisionQuest display on the D23 show floor, a new mysterious character from the series was spotted. The character is reportedly hinted to be the “Synthetic Man” exhibit seen at the 1943 Stark Expo in Captain America: The First Avenger.

The MCU has already teased Jim Hammond before. In Captain America: The First Avenger, an android called the “Synthetic Man” was shown at Howard Stark’s Stark Expo. The character was a reference to Phineas Horton’s original Human Torch. Now, VisionQuest could finally explore that Easter egg nearly 15 years later.

The trailers for Avengers: Doomsday, VisionQuest and Avengers: Endgame Encore will reportedly be shown at D23 and released online simultaneously.
Here’s the plot synopsis for VisionQuest:
“The Vision, rebooted and having escaped those who sought to use him as a weapon, has been in hiding. His quest for new meaning and discreet existence is interrupted when a bounty is placed on his head, forcing Vision to forge real connections and embrace found family if he’s to survive.”
The show, created by Terry Matalas for Disney+, is based on the Marvel Comics character Vision. A spin-off of WandaVision (2021), it is the 18th television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), produced by Marvel Studios under the Marvel Television label. Matalas serves as both showrunner and director.
