Noah Jupe has joined the cast of Marvel’s Avengers: Secret Wars in a “major mystery role.” Filming for Secret Wars is scheduled to begin later this year. Currently, Avengers: Doomsday reshoots are underway for additional cameos.
According to TheWrap, Jupe could be playing an aged-up Franklin Richards, the son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm of the Fantastic Four, in Avengers: Secret Wars, as his role has been described as a key part of the film’s story.
Marvel President Kevin Feige has already confirmed that the upcoming Avengers films are inspired by the Time Runs Out and Secret Wars comic book storylines. “What we really want to do is two things: first, to bring closure to some storylines that began before Iron Man, including the original X-Men characters. Second, at the same time, to set the stage for the future.”

In Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribić’s Secret Wars, Doctor Doom creates a new reality called Battleworld after the multiverse is destroyed. Battleworld is made up of parts of different worlds where two Earths were about to collide.

There are a few important characters from the comic that Jupe could play in the Russos’ sequel. One is Molecule Man, a mutant who becomes important to the destruction of the multiverse and Doom’s plan to rebuild the universe. Another is the Beyonder, a powerful being who sends heroes to Battleworld in the original Secret Wars. In the later storyline, Doom takes the Beyonder’s power.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron. Secret Wars follows the events of Avengers: Doomsday, which sees the X-Men, New Avengers, Fantastic Four, Captain America’s Avengers, Wakanda, and more face off against Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom
