The filming for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 is underway in Times Square, Manhattan, New York City.
During filming, Michael C. Hall, Uma Thurman, and director Marcos Siega were spotted on the set of Season 2.

The synopsis for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 follows Dexter “caught between two killers – one notorious and the other terrorizing New York in ways no one ever anticipated – all while battling his greatest enemy yet: a mid-life crisis. Harrison (Jack Alcott) continues his own pursuit of justice as father and son face their darkest chapter.”

Hall as Dexter Morgan, Jack Alcott as Harrison Morgan, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Uma Thurman as Charley Brown, Kadia Saraf as Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Melvin Oliva, Desmond Harrington as Joey Quinn, James Remar as Harry Morgan, Brian Cox as Don Framt/New York Ripper, Dan Stevens as Owen Stark/Five Borough Killer, Bokeem Woodbine as Captain Mixon, and Nona Parker Johnson as Fiona Mixon.
Dexter: Resurrection was developed by original series creator Clyde Phillips, who also serves as the showrunner and executive producer. Michael C. Hall stars as Dexter Morgan and serves as an executive producer. The executive producing team also includes Scott Reynolds, Marcos Siega, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Veronica West, Kirsa Rein, Tanner Bean, and Katrina Mathewson. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios.
Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection is expected to premiere in Fall 2026, around the 20th anniversary of the original Dexter series. An official release date has not been announced yet, but production began on April 22. This means the new season could arrive toward the end of 2026, roughly 18 months after Season 1 premiered in July 2025.
