Warning: This post contains potential spoilers for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday.
Doctor Doom’s army of warlocks and witches has been revealed in new concept art for Avengers: Doomsday.
The concept art, featuring Doctor Doom, Boris, and the Latverian Witches, was shared by concept artist Jorge Molina on his Instagram account.
Boris, the mysterious three-eyed sorcerer rumored to be Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) serving Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday, has reportedly been removed from the movie, according to Molina. However, some fans believe he is trying to cover up the character’s full look being officially spoiled.

The artist wrote, “My Avengers: Doomsday x Magic: The Gathering artwork was announced this weekend at NYCC! I wasn’t expecting this to be revealed just yet, but I’m glad I can finally share it! Here’s a look at the final art, as well as the original art, digital sketch, and pencils. This is my first time creating artwork for @wizards_magic. I’m not very familiar with it, so I’m stepping into new territory.”
Boris’s promotional images were previously leaked on X, and the new concept art now appears to confirm that the leaks are legitimate. Boris appears to have a third eye on his forehead. See the image below.
A scooper on X, Blue Minutes, wrote: “At the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, he and Clea went to a place where they met Doom, leading to speculation that he is the only one who can save the multiverse, as he is the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth-828.”
According to a rumor we previously reported, Doctor Strange becomes convinced in Avengers: Doomsday that the Avengers cannot stop the multiversal collapse. Doctor Doom offers him a plan and complete control over magic, leading Strange to become Doom’s right-hand man. He serves as the executor of Doom’s plan, manipulating incursions and controlling the TVA. Strange also prioritizes the “survival of the multiverse” over local heroes. Their alliance explains why Strange and Doom do not help the Avengers: they believe Doom’s plan is the only way to save the multiverse from incursions.
Avengers: Doomsday is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Michael Waldron, Stephen McFeely, Chris McKenna, and Erik Sommers.
Here’s the official new plot synopsis for Avengers: Doomsday:
