Depp and Sivan met on the set of their television series, The Idol, nearly two years ago and it was love at first sight.
In an interview with Vogue Australia, they discuss the show, their friendship, and what lies ahead. Despite having a hangover, Troye Sivan appears fresh and composed at the Cannes Film Festival, while Lily-Rose Depp exudes elegance in a Chanel dress. The Idol premiered the night before and generated attention due to its provocative subject matter. Sivan plays the role of Xander, the creative director, and Depp portrays Jocelyn, the singer.
The Weeknd, who co-created the show, also stars as Tedros, a questionable nightclub impresario. After the premiere, they attended an afterparty, resulting in their hangovers. Sivan jokingly remarks that he usually separates work from partying but felt it was appropriate to celebrate the show with a hangover. Their meeting details remain uncertain, but Sivan openly acknowledges Depp’s striking beauty.
The Idol season 1 is now available on Max. According to reports, ‘The Idol’ Season 2 is being considered by HBO.
