Lord and Miller Discuss ‘Across the Spider-Verse’ Sequel Release Timing
During an interview with Digital Spy for the release of “Strays,” writers/producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller couldn’t give a specific release date for “Beyond the Spider-Verse.” However, they assured fans that it would be released “when it is ready.” Lord mentioned they are working on it diligently and will take the time needed to make it great.
Lord said when asked for a release date update, “Those conversations are thankfully above our paygrade, but I can tell you we’re already hard at work on it, and we’ll take the time it takes to make it great.“
Miller said, “What we’re trying to accomplish with the film is have it be the most satisfying conclusion to the story than it can be and take it to places that you haven’t been before. And make you laugh and cry, and cheer and think.“
‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ came out in theaters on June 2, 2023. It’s made $684.4 million worldwide, way more than its $100 million budget, and you can also watch it on streaming platforms now.
