Elizabeth Olsen, Carrie Coon, Natasha Lyonne, and director Azazel Jacobs were spotted at the FYC screening of ‘His Three Daughters‘ in NYC on July 12, 2024. See the images below.
They also held a Q&A session with the press for the film. Olsen shared her experience of being part of a project written specifically for her.
Olsen said, “We always look at you because you have such a good answer to that question. Well, no, I just have a solid answer. I was surprised. It’s so weird being in a small room, speaking into a microphone now. I can hear us otherwise. I think it’s different when someone says, ‘I wrote something for you,’ versus ‘I want to do that.’ When I make the choice, if I want to do that, I try to find something adjacent and removed from myself to learn how to navigate. Someone saying, ‘I wrote this for you,’ which I’ve never experienced, made me think, ‘Oh, that’s interesting.’ I don’t really see myself as that soft. I do see myself as a nurturer, but someone who really leads with that.”
What is His Three Daughters About?
When their father’s health worsens, three estranged sisters come together to try to plan for the inevitable. The eldest is high-strung Katie (Coon), who talks a hundred miles a minute and stresses about all the practical details. The middle sister, Rachel (Lyonne), is ready to check out after spending a year caring for the man. The youngest sibling, Christina (Olsen), seems always on the verge of tears, trying to clumsily keep the peace while they’re all stuck in their father’s small apartment.
The film also stars Jovan Adepo, Jay O. Sanders, Rudy Galvan, Jose Febus, Randy Ramos Jr., and Jasmine Bracey.
Produced by Alex Orlovsky, Duncan Montgomery, Lia Buman, Marc Marrie, Mal Ward, Matt Aselton, Tim Headington, Jack Selby, and Diaz Jacobs, it is a collaboration between High-Frequency Entertainment, Arts & Sciences, Tango, Animal Pictures, Talkies Inc., and Case Study Films. Kendall Anderson’s creative touch shines as the production designer, while Gene Park handles sound and Cinetic Media manages publicity. The original score comes from Rodrigo Amarante, and the US Sales Agent is Creative Artists Agency (CAA).
