Sony Pictures has unveiled behind-the-scenes footage for Ridley Scott’s ‘Napoleon,’ with the film set to release on November 22, 2023, in Premium Large Formats, Screen X, 70mm, and IMAX theaters. See the clip below.
Scott told Empire magazine that Joaquin Phoenix felt uncertain just two weeks before filming ‘Napoleon.’ The film reunites the director and the Oscar-winning actor, who previously collaborated on ‘Gladiator‘ over two decades ago. Phoenix is starring as the French emperor alongside Vanessa Kirby as his wife, Joséphine de Beauharnais.
Scott described the situation, saying, “He’d come in, and it’s just two weeks before shooting, and he’d say, ‘I don’t know what to do.’ I’d be like, ‘What?!’ He’d say, ‘I don’t know what to do.’ Oh God. I’d say, ‘Come in, sit down.’ We sat for 10 days, all day, discussing scene by scene. In a way, we rehearsed. Going through every detail.”
