Sam Raimi has reportedly said that there’s a chance of ‘Spider-Man 4‘ happening.
‘Spider-Man 4’ is Still Possible, Confirms Sam Raimi
During the 2024 Monster-Mania Con (Monster-Mania 58), a fan named Lukas A. Soares, who attended the convention where Raimi was present, reported that the director mentioned ‘Spider-Man 4’ as a possibility.
According to the fan, Raimi said that both he and the fans are eager for it. Seeing Tobey Maguire in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home‘ brought him joy, so it’s possible that he finally exists.
Raimi reportedly stated there’s a chance of Spider-Man 4 happening “simply because he has the same desire as we do.” He added, “If it is to happen, it will be at the right time.”
Thomas Haden Church on ‘Spider-Man 4’
Recently, in an interview with ComicBook.com, Thomas Haden Church, who played Flint Marko/Sandman in Raimi’s Spider-Man 3, says he has heard Raimi may do another Spider-Man film with Maguire.
“I think Sam is gonna do another Spider-Man with Tobey [Maguire], and that’s the one that… They had an option for me to do Spider-Man 4 when there was going to be a Spider-Man 4. They had an option for me to come back. So if it happens, that would be fantastic. I’m getting a little old.”
Haden Church mentioned that there have been discussions about his return as Sandman. He revealed, “We had a whole story involving his daughter for ‘No Way Home’. And it just ended up [cut].”
Raimi’s ‘Spider-Man’ trilogy is set to be re-released in theaters to celebrate Columbia Pictures’ 100th anniversary in April 2024. Check release dates.
