(Note: This article contains spoiler alerts for Fast X)
Fast X is now playing in theaters. Jakob Toretto (John Cena) is one of the main characters in the Fast & Furious franchise. Jakob, the brother of Dom (Vin Diesel) and Mia (Jordana Brewster), is a skilled thief and assassin who first appeared in the 2021 film F9. In Fast X, he returns to save Dom’s son from the villainous Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa).
What Happens To John Cena’s Jakob Toretto In Fast X?
At the end of the film, John Cena’s Jakob Toretto fails to save Dom’s son; he is captured by Dante while Jakob is driving the car. Jakob’s fuel tank was also damaged. While Dom is on his way to save his son, Dante’s army will clash with Dom. So Jakob decided to make the ultimate sacrifice. Jakob told Dom that he was the one who showed him the light from his dark path and told him to save his son, and Jakob released all the bombs from the car and fell into Dante’s army. Jakob Toretto meets his end, demonstrating the power of family and selflessness.
John Cena’s Jakob Toretto Death Had No Point In Fast X?
Why did they kill off John Cena’s Jakob Toretto? He was not supposed to die in an unworthy manner. Instead of sacrificing himself, he can help Dom save his son. According to me, there is no point in Jakob’s death, which makes him a complete idiot.
Will Jakob Toretto Return In Fast & Furious 11?
The fate of Jakob Toretto in Fast & Furious 11 is uncertain. Just like the surprise returns of Gisele Yashar and Han Lue in Fast X, who were previously believed to be dead, there is a possibility that Jakob may still be alive and could potentially make a comeback in the next installment of the franchise, Fast & Furious 11.
Is Dwayne Johnson’s Return to Fast & Furious 11 the Reason for John Cena’s Exit from the Franchise?
In the final post-credits scene, Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs will return and he is also part of Fast & Furious 11. As we know, John Cena and Dwayne Johnson had a professional disagreement regarding Johnson’s limited appearances in WWE, but their relationship has since improved till now. So that may be the main reason for Cena’s exit from the Fast & Furious franchise.
