Richard Madden‘s Ikaris will not appear in Eternals 2. According to Eternals writer Kaz Firpo, The fate of Ikaris is completed. Firpo told CBR, ‘It’s sacrifice.’ It’s sort of saying, ‘I can’t serve the Eternals. If I can’t serve the Celestials, and I can’t be with my family, then I choose this third option,’ which — for him — really is oblivion. So yeah, he dead.”
Does Ikaris Return in Eternals 2?
No. Richard Madden’s Ikaris will not return to Marvel’s Eternals 2.
Ikaris is powerful among the Eternals, At the end of Eternals, Ikaris apologizes to Sersi before fleeing Earth for what he has done, he flew directly into the Sun. But it is possible that Arishem’s Ikaris 2.0 or an Ikaris Variant will appear in Eternals 2. Ikaris’ death was unwanted in the film because he can still change and Marvel should have given him a chance.
Who Is Ikaris In MCU?
Ikaris is the tactical leader and the most powerful member of the Eternals. he is one of ten superpowered Eternals sent by the Celestial Arishem to Earth to exterminate the invasive Deviants. The last Deviants are apparently killed in 1521, however, he and the rest of the Eternals wait for Arishem to tell them that they can leave. On August 3, 2022, Patton Oswalt revealed in an interview that a sequel to Eternals is in development, with Chloé Zhao returning to direct. The confirmed cast till today is Harry Styles’ Eros/Starfox and Patton Oswalt as Pip the Troll.
