James Gunn has resumed writing ‘Peacemaker‘ Season 2 after the end of the WGA strike. The first season premiered on Max in January 2022 and concluded in February 2022, consisting of eight episodes. The announcement for a second season was made by Max during the final episode of Season 1.
On Instagram, when asked about the update on Season 2 of the show, Gunn replied, “Writing it now.”
Recently, Gunn confirmed that the actors, including John Cena as Peacemaker and Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, will continue to portray their characters in his DCU (DC Universe).
Peacemaker follows Christopher Smith AKA Peacemaker, an extremist murderer who believes he’s on a quest for peace, killing anyone and everyone to achieve his ultimate goal.
The cast of ‘Peacemaker’ includes John Cena as Christopher Smith/Peacemaker, Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Chukwudi Iwuji as Clemson Murn and Ik Nobe Llok, Jennifer Holland as Agent Emilia Harcourt, Steve Agee as John Economos, and Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith/White Dragon. Recurring cast members in the series include Annie Chang, Lochlyn Munro, Elizabeth Faith Ludlow, Rizwan Manji, Nhut Le, Christopher Heyerdahl, Mel Tuck, Dee Bradley Baker (voice), Rochelle Greenwood, Kevin O’Grady, Zak Santiago, Neil Webb, Bzhaun Rhoden, Quinn Bennett, and Liam Hughes.
The release date for ‘Peacemaker’ Season 2 on Max is yet to be announced (TBA).
