DC’s Supergirl is coming to digital following a poor theatrical run that made it one of the year’s biggest box office disappointments. The film’s VOD release date has now been revealed.
Supergirl will be available to buy or rent on Digital HD platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies, starting July 28, 2026—just over 30 days after its theatrical release.

Recently, several insider reports have claimed that Craig Gillespie’s original cut of Supergirl was altered after the film received low test-screening scores and the studio reportedly intervened.
Craig Gillespie‘s original cut of Supergirl was reportedly 11 minutes longer and featured more of Krem. DC Studios ultimately chose to release its own cut in theaters instead.
Here’s the plot details for Supergirl:
When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, also known as Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.
