Angelina Jolie, along with her sons Maddox and Pax Jolie-Pitt, was spotted on the set of Pablo Larraín‘s Maria Callas biopic, ‘Maria,’ in Paris, France, on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. See the images below.
Jolie’s son initially visited her on set, and now he’s actively assisting the production team of her new movie.
Pax, 19, worked as a still photographer on Angelina’s ‘First They Killed My Father’ in 2017 and is now part of the assistant director team for her upcoming film ‘Without Blood.’
Recently, the first look at Jolie in ‘Maria’ was revealed. The film will tell the tumultuous, beautiful, and tragic story of one of the world’s greatest opera singers, Maria Callas.
‘Maria,’ is an independent production with an interim agreement from SAG-AFTRA. It will be filmed over eight weeks in Paris, Greece, Budapest, and Milan. The script, written by Steven Knight, who collaborated with Larraín on “Spencer,” was completed before the Writers Guild strike. The cast includes Pierfrancesco Favino, Alba Rohrwacher, Haluk Bilginer, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Valeria Golino, alongside Jolie.
The film is a collaboration between Apartment Pictures, German Komplizen Films, and the US-based Fremantle Media Company. It’s a joint effort by directors Pablo Larrain and Juan de Dios Larrain. Before heading to Budapest, Larraín will also support his latest film, “El Conde,” at the Venice Film Festival.
‘Maria’ is scheduled to be released in theaters in 2024. See more images below.
