A sneak peek at Marvel’s ‘Echo‘ series was dropped via Twitter scooper @CanWeGetToast. A recent image from Total Film showcases Alaqua Cox‘s Maya Lopez and Vincent D’Onofrio‘s Wilson Fisk seated, strategically hiding Kingpin’s scar inflicted by Maya in the ‘Hawkeye‘ finale.
Kingpin plans to mend ties with Maya by offering her contacts, allowing her to see him sign in ASL through holography while he speaks. Using an earpiece and contacts, he translates Maya’s ASL into speech, attempting to recreate their former Sunday dinner tradition, a time before Maya discovered Kingpin’s role in her father’s death.
Marvel recently revealed the first trailer for ‘Echo,’ starring Cox as Maya Lopez. The ‘Echo’ series mainly focuses on Maya’s life, her family, and her history. Charlie Cox‘s Daredevil will have a cameo appearance, and D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk has a big role. Disney+ confirmed that Echo follows the events of Hawkeye (2021) in New York City, Maya Lopez returns to her hometown, where she must come to terms with her past, reconnect with her Native American roots, and embrace her family and community.
The first episode will be directed by Sydney Freeland and the rest will be directed by Catriona McKenzie. Marion Dayre serves as the head writer. The show also stars D’Onofrio as Kingpin, Cox as Daredevil, Zahn McClarnon as William Lopez, Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning, and Graham Greene.
