There will be two Black Panthers in the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday.
According to Marvel scooper MyTimeToShineHello, a second Black Panther is reportedly set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday. Letitia Wright is the current Black Panther in the MCU, and she has already been spotted filming in Bahrain. The second Black Panther will be male, and no further information on the casting has been made.
At the Disney Merch Conference, it was revealed that there will be new costumes for Shuri, Namor, and M’Baku. Additionally, a behind-the-scenes image of Winston Duke as M’Baku was shared online by the film’s cinematographer.
As we previously reported, Black Panther 3 is already in development at Marvel Studios, and the release date is set for February 2028. A rumor hinted that Damson Idris will be recast as the new T’Challa, and Denzel Washington could have a role in the film.
Avengers: Doomsday is directed by Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator, Stephen McFeely. Newton Thomas Sigel will be the cinematographer.

Ian McKellen as Magneto, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing), and Lewis Pullman as Sentry.
Marvel President Kevin Feige revealed at CinemaCon 2025 that Avengers: Doomsday will focus on the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, the New Avengers (Thunderbolts), and the original X-Men all uniting to fight Doctor Doom (Downey Jr.).
