The upcoming episodes of The Boys Season 5 are bigger than anything in the franchise’s history, with major character deaths incoming.
According to an insider report, some spoiler details for the new episodes of The Boys Season 5 have been revealed. Episode 3 ends with Ryan asking Homelander about Becca, which leads to a brutal fight that leaves Ryan seriously injured, and Butcher finds the wounded Ryan.
Here are the leaked details for the upcoming episodes (spoilers ahead):
Maeve doesn’t return.
Soldier Boy is more of an antihero than a butcher this season. He doesn’t die in Episode 5. However, he makes a decision that helps the kids, which piqued my interest in his spin-off. His increased screen time is leading up to the conclusion of his story arc.

Butcher is the final villain. Kessler, or the virus, takes control and unleashes it into the air. It wants all superheroes to disappear, including Ryan.
Cate and Sam get into a fight with Soldier Boy. The rest of the Gen V cameos are very brief.
Two key cast members die before the end.
Homelander is infected with the virus.
Ryan is grappling with his identity and origins. He doesn’t appear much this season, but he’s not evil.
Homelander takes over V1 in Episode 5.
Episode 6 includes flashbacks of Soldier Boy. Bombsight is a good superhero, but he has a bad relationship with Soldier Boy. This motivates Soldier Boy to want to make amends.
The child soldier takes away the powers of more than one superhero.
Soldier Boy doesn’t die in Episode 5. He throws Misha Collins at Mr. Marathon, who runs right through him.
Throughout the season, Butcher will be doing something off-screen.
He didn’t kill his father. He ate him. And he’ll do this to superheroes or people of lesser rank.
Something happens to Homelander in Episode 7. He gets infected and probably loses his powers.
Butcher completely destroys Homelander’s body.
Butcher is the final villain.
And then the final episode will feature Hughie and Starlight. The finale will also show Marie and Ryan fighting Butcher.
Marie will be important in the final episode.
The Boys is based on the New York Times bestselling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, who also serve as executive producers. The series was developed by executive producer and showrunner Eric Kripke. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Michaela Starr, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Judalina Neira, Jessica Chou, Gabriel Garcia, Ori Marmur, Ken F. Levin, and Jason Netter also serve as executive producers. The Boys is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, along with Kripke Enterprises, Original Film, and Point Grey Pictures.
The series stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie Campbell, Antony Starr as Homelander, Erin Moriarty as Starlight, Jessie T. Usher as A-Train, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Chace Crawford as The Deep, Tomer Capone as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko Miyashiro, Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir II, Colby Minifie as Ashley Barrett, Cameron Crovetti as Ryan Butcher, Susan Heyward as Sister Sage, Valorie Curry as Firecracker, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Joe Kessler, Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, and Daveed Diggs as Oh-Father.
In the fifth and final season, it’s Homelander’s world, completely subject to his erratic, egomaniacal whims. Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in a “Freedom Camp.” Annie struggles to mount a resistance against the overwhelming Supe force. Kimiko is nowhere to be found. But when Butcher reappears, ready and willing to use a virus that will wipe all Supes off the map, he sets in motion a chain of events that will forever change the world and everyone in it. It’s the climax—big things are going to happen.
The Boys Season 5 is now streaming on Prime Video.
