Marvel’s ‘Agatha All Along‘ first teaser has debuted online, and we got our first look at Aubrey Plaza, who plays Rio Vidal, a warrior witch in Harkness’s coven.

Jac Schaeffer, the show’s creator, discusses working with Plaza in ‘Agatha All Along’ in Total Film’s new issue (per GamesRadar). She said, “It was a pleasure to work with Aubrey because she’s so funny and such a live wire, and she’s so unpredictable in the best way.” She added, “All of that is thrilling and funny, but also she’s so interested in going as deep as she possibly can in any scenario, even if it’s comedic.”

Schaeffer created the ‘WandaVision’ spin-off show, is based on the Marvel Comics character Agatha Harkness. The show stars Kathryn Hahn returning as Agatha Harkness, Joe Locke as Wiccan, Ali Ahn as Alice, Sasheer Zamata as Jennifer Kale, Plaza as Rio Vidal, Patti LuPone as Lilia Calderu, Debra Jo Rupp as Sharon Davis/Mrs. Hart, Miles Guiterrez-Riley as Eddie, Paul Adelstein and Maria Dizzia as Jeff and Rebecca Kaplan, Emma Caulfield-Ford as Dottie Jones/Sarah Proctor, Evan Peters as Ralph Bohner, and Kate Forbes as Evanora Harkness.

Here’s the synopsis for Agatha All Along:

The infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road…

Okwui Okpokwasili, Bethany Curry, Athena Perample, Marina Mazepa, Britta Grant, Chau Naumova, and Alicia Vela-Bailey are part of the cast of the show. Okpokwasili will be playing Vertigo, the head of The Salem Seven, who turns into a cicada. Curry will play Crow, who turns into a crow; Perample will play Fox, who turns into a fox; Mazepa will play Snake, who turns into a snake; Grant will play Rat, who turns into a rat; Naumova will play Coyote, who turns into a coyote; and Vela-Bailey will play Owl, who turns into an owl.

‘Agatha All Along’ will premiere with two episodes on Disney+ on September 18, 2024. It will consist of 9 episodes, each with a runtime of 30 minutes.
