New Character Alert: Mason Dye Cast in The Boys Season 5 as Bombsight

Mason Dye cast in THE BOYS Season 5

Mason Dye (Stranger Things, Teen Wolf) has been cast in Amazon Prime Video‘s The Boys Season 5.

According to Variety, he will portray a character named Bombsight. This character was previously referenced in Season 4 as a Supe who starred in the early Vought superhero film The Curse of Fu Manchu, set in the 1950s.

On X (formerly Twitter), The Boys’ official handle welcomed Mason Dye with a post that read, “Let’s give a warm welcome to Mason Dye, joining as Bombsight in Season 5. More details, you ask? You know better by now.”

It is confirmed that Dye’s Bombsight may also appear in the upcoming prequel series Vought Rising, alongside Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash.

The show, created by Eric Kripke for Amazon, is based on the comic book series of the same name written by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. It stars Karl Urban as William “Billy” Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hugh “Hughie” Campbell Jr., Antony Starr as John Gillman/Homelander, Erin Moriarty as Annie January/Starlight, Jessie T. Usher as Reggie Franklin/A-Train, Laz Alonso as Marvin T. “Mother’s” Milk/MM, Chace Crawford as Kevin Moskowitz/The Deep, Tomer Capone as Serge/Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko Miyashiro/The Female, Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir II, Colby Minifie as Ashley Barrett, Claudia Doumit as Victoria “Vic the Veep” Neuman/Nadia Khayat, Cameron Crovetti as Ryan, Valorie Curry as Firecracker, Susan Heyward as Sister Sage, Simon Pegg as Hugh Campbell Sr., Jim Beaver as Robert “Dakota Bob” Singer, Matthew Edison as Cameron Coleman, Olivia Morandin as Zoe Neuman, Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap, Asa Germann as Sam Riordan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Rosemarie DeWitt, Rob Benedict, and Elliot Knight.

Dye is best known for his role as Jason Carver, a Hawkins High basketball star, in Stranger Things Season 4. He gained recognition for his appearances on the popular MTV series Teen Wolf. Dye has appeared in Lifetime films such as Flowers in the Attic, My Stepdaughter, Stalker’s Prey, and The Wrong Son. He has starred in movies including Natural Selection, Vanished – Left Behind: Next Generation, and Truth or Dare.
