DC’s Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, starring Milly Alcock, is officially set to begin production on January 13, 2025, in England.
Most recently, DC Studios made a surprise casting announcement for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, revealing that Jason Momoa is set to play the role of Lobo and will appear in the film.
We will see Alcock’s first appearance as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl in James Gunn‘s Superman movie, which is scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is directed by Craig Gillespie from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira. It is the second film in the DC Universe and the fourth installment of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.
The film also stars Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Eve Ridley as Ruthye, Momoa as Lobo, with more cast members to be announced once production begins.

Gunn and Peter Safran are producing the film, with DC EVP Chantal Nong serving as the executive producer.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will hit theaters on June 26, 2026.
