(Note: This article contains potential spoilers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.)
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently in production, and we have an update on the Symbiote’s appearance in the movie.
According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, the Symbiote will reportedly have “some kind of a role” in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but it will not be Venom.

In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Eddie Brock and Venom briefly appear in Earth-616, but Doctor Strange’s spell sends them back to their universe, leaving behind a small symbiote fragment. However, in Venom: The Last Dance, this fragment is later retrieved, meaning there is currently no active Venom symbiote in Earth-616. As of now, nothing has been confirmed about how Marvel might reintroduce the symbiote in the future.
New Spider-Man Trilogy to Feature Venom, Kingpin, Prowler, Tombstone & Hammerhead

A recent report from Alex Perez (via The Cosmic Circus) revealed that the upcoming Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy will feature villains such as Venom, Prowler, Tombstone, Hammerhead, and Wilson Fisk (Kingpin).
Alex said, “The symbiote belongs to another universe, so the longer it stays on Earth-616, the more the boundaries between the universes will create friction until they eventually break.”
A big news recently surfaced online that Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova has joined the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, as reported by insider Daniel Richtman.
Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the film from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles, while Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming.
In a recent interview with Collider, Marvel President Kevin Feige revealed that Peter Parker will be dealing with “street-level crime” in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Feige said, “I think there’s a promise at the end of No Way Home that, as sad as it is that Peter is forgotten by everyone in his life, we are seeing for the first time in the Tom Holland Spider-Man stories him being a proper Spider-Man—being on his own, dedicated to saving the city, and dealing with, for lack of a better term, street-level crime, as opposed to world-ending events.”
He continued, “So when you do that, you ask, okay, who are the other street-level characters that we’ve never seen him interact with? And of course, I love that The Punisher started in a Spider-Man comic.”
Feige added, “That great cover—I don’t want to say too much, but Destin… I will say too much—Destin is doing an amazing job right now on that movie, which starts shooting very soon. And he’s got eight or nine comic covers up on his wall in his art department that he is bringing to life in this movie, which is super cool.”
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
